(3 hours) Prerequisites: ENGL 111 and 112. An introduction to the basic principles of writing poetry. This course will emphasize the study of prosody and poetic forms and will require students write creative poems and submit them to workshops. Students are expected to respond to peer works. Offered: Spring (odd years)
