A study of English literature from 1832 to 1900 with emphasis on such major poets as Tennyson, Browning, Barrett Browning, Christina Rossetti, Dante Gabriel Rossetti, and Hardy and on such major prose writers as Carlyle, Mill, Ruskin, Huxley, Eliot, and Wilde.
