(4 ([2-0-2] hour(s)) Prerequisites: NURS 331. This course will focus on professional nursing practice in the care and management of acute and critically ill adult patients. Emphasis will be placed on advanced concepts of pathophysiology and disease processes related to the adult patient with acute multi system dysfunction requiring a higher level of care. Students will further develop their assessment, technical, critical thinking, and clinical judgment skills to further enhance their ability to manage care of the acute and critically ill patient within an acute care setting.
