Prerequisite: POLI 201 or CRIM 210 and 9 semester hours of additional POLI or CRIM courses. Analysis of the judicial interpretation of the Bill of Rights emphasizing the First Amendment: the establishment and free exercise of religion, the freedom of speech, press, and assembly; and the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment: equal protection of racial, sexual, political and economic groups. Cross-listed with CRIM 422. (Political Science = Parent). This course cannot be challenged. Offered every Spring.
