Prerequisite: PSYC 110

Positive psychology is the scientific study of positive experiences, positive individual traits, and the institutions and practices that facilitate their development. This course reviews the paradigm shift from pathology to strengths-based psychology as well as the literature that leads to a psychology of happiness and adjustment with subtopics including life meaning, religion/spirituality, and positive psychology interventions. This course cannot be challenged. Offered: Fall.
