(3 hours) Prerequisites: Biol 210 and Biol210L or Biol 227 and Biol 227L, and 1 Chem course. (grades of "C" or better). This course is designed to strengthen the background of students seeking certification in the Athletic Training Program. Introduction to Pharmacology presents an overview of the major drug classes to include their mechanism of action, therapeutic uses, and adverse effects. Drug metabolism, drug receptors, and drug interactions are introduced. This course cannot be challenged.
