(3 hours) Prerequisites: CRIM 210 and CRIM 227 or PSYC 212. This course was developed based on the need for aspiring and current police officers to develop an in-depth comprehension of the Federal and Constitutional statutes regarding search and seizure, arrests, and stops. Curriculum from the Legal instructional block of the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy was reviewed and integrated into many modules. The course was developed by an attorney with more than 30 years experience in South Carolina statutes.
