Topics of geography, language, culture, and religion will be explored as it pertains to how to effectively teach students and communicate with their families. Effects of childhood adversity will be discussed, as well as understanding Title I schools' qualifications, populations, and needs. A 10-hour practicum is required. Students are responsible for arranging their own transportation to designated or assigned sites. This course cannot be challenged. Note: Offered: Fall and Spring. Counts for ELR credit.
