(3 hour(s)) Prerequisite: EDUC 201. Within this course Child Development majors will be introduced to early childhood mathematics instruction. The course focuses on South Carolina Early Learning Standards and South Carolina Kindergarten Mathematics standards. Within this course candidates will learn effective planning and instructional strategies to support early learning in mathematics. A ten-hour practicum is required. This course is intended for undergraduate child development majors who are seeking a non-licensure degree. This course cannot be challenged.
