Classroom Assessment Methods is a three-hour. web-based course on the development of
assessments to inform classroom instruction and management. The course develops an
understanding of the relationship between curriculum, standards, instruction, and assessment. In the course. students review different forms of assessment and develop an understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of each format. Students gain experience in 1) selection of assessment formats
based on curricular focus and student developmental levels; 2) development of assessments; and 3) decision-making based on the results of the assessments.
