Specifically, these aural skills involve the identification of intervals, triad and seventh chord types, melodic lines, scales, triad factors; the identification of rhythmic patterns and errors in rhythmic patterns; the writing of dictated melodies, triads, diatonic progressions; the sight-singing of intervals, arpeggios, and melodies employing movable-do solfege in major and (do-based) minor keys; the ability to tap or sing rhythmic patterns.
