(2 hours) Prerequisites: Admitted to Horton School of Music (MUSI 100), MUSI 199 (with a grade of "C" or better). A study of the fundamentals of conducting, including basic beat patterns, cueing, Interpretive gestures, score reading, and rehearsal techniques. This course cannot be challenged. Note: Required of all music majors.
