(3 hours) Prerequisites: MUSI 299, MUSI 09530 and admission to the Professional Program in Teacher Education in the College of Education. Methods, materials, and procedures for teaching general music in the elementary school with emphasis on children's musical development and its effect on course content in grades K-8. Teaching strategies will be observed and practiced in clinical settings. A 21-hour practicum is required. This course cannot be challenged. Note: Counts for ELR credit.
