(5 [2-1-2] hours) Prerequisites: Admission to the BSN Program and NURS 104. This course focuses on the development of core knowledge and values of professional nursing practice. It introduces the student to the nursing process, concept of critical thinking, evidence-based practice, and fundamental skills necessary for the provision of safe and effective nursing care. Clinical experiences in laboratory and selected healthcare facilities provide opportunities for the student to apply nursing concepts and the clinical decision making process. This course cannot be challenged. Counts for ELR credit.
