(5 [3-0-2] hour(s)) Prerequisites: NURS 215 and NURS 221. This course is a study of common health disorders which occur in the adult patient. Content focuses on nursing and collaborative management of conditions of the neurologic, musculoskeletal, integumentary, respiratory, hematologic, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, urinary, endocrine, and reproductive systems. Discussion of nursing and collaborative management of these conditions includes a review of related pathophysiology as well as diagnostic studies and drug therapy designed to promote health maintenance and risk reduction in the adult population.
