This course focuses on the foundations of healthcare policy and its impact on healthcare delivery, clinical practice and research. Social, economic, ethical and legislative issues influencing healthcare policy will be addressed. The profession of nursing?s role in influencing healthcare policy will be explored in the context of nurses? ability to function effectively and assume a leadership role in the health care system.
